James Elbert Crocker, age 62 of Victoria passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019. He was born November 13, 1956 in Baytown to Juanita Faye Rachel of Magnolia, Texas and the late Robert Wade. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Anita Crocker; sons, Douglas Crocker (Deede), Raymond Osgood (Stephanie), Adam Crocker and James W. Crocker; sisters, Anneliese Ferguson (Darryl), Laurie Davidson (Mike), Kim Gingrich (Steve) and Deann Cry (Larry); brothers, Delbert Crocker (Evonne) and Bobbie Wade. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren. James proudly served in the United States Navy. He also began wrestling for the Navy where he won in Scotland and Ireland. After the Navy, he would later meet his soul mate Anita Crocker. They had a love like no other. James and Anita wed on December 3, 1987 and continued to have that teenage love everyone could only dream about. They were both inseparable. If James heard a song, it did not matter where they were, he would take Anita by the hand and begin to dance with her. The love they shared was magical. They both loved to take walks on the beach or in the woods. James also loved to go hunting and fishing. He was an awesome husband, father, paw paw, and friend. He never met a stranger. He would sit and talk to a tree if it stood still long enough. He lived by a motto, “I want to see everyone smile instead of mean mugging.” He was a hard worker who loved to provide and protect his family. Services have already occurred. Under the direction of Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home in Victoria, 361-575-3212.
